New DNC Chair Endorses Fringe Anti-Israel Group
RJC criticizes Wasserman Schultz's embrace of controversial J Street
Washington, D.C. (April 6, 2011) - The newly appointed chair of the Democratic National Committee, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) has sustained and controversial ties to the fringe anti-Israel lobby, J Street.
In early 2009, Wasserman Schultz hosted an event on Capitol Hill with J Street, a group then under fire for issuing a statement accusing Israel of collective punishment in Gaza and equating Israeli self-defensive measures with those of Hamas. J Street's comments were so incendiary, they drew immediate condemnation from all corners of the Jewish community, including noted liberal Rabbi Eric Yoffie, who called the group "profoundly out of touch."

Obama's foreign policy with respect to Israel has strained our two nations' relationship without regard for the dire consequences.
Obama enjoys a mere 4% approval rating in Israel.
Congressman Sherman has never come out against this policy.

Excerpts from a town hall meeting at Temple Aliyah April 7, 2010:
On Obama's policy:
Brad Sherman: "Yes there are diplomatic tiffs - trust me, five years from now nobody's going to remember. The fact is, Israel is the domninant power west of the Jordan."
The Truth:
Iran will have nuclear bomb within a year and ballistic missles that could reach the United States within five years. Israel will not be the dominant power, Iran will.
Obama, Israel and Palestine:
Rabbi Vogel: "The President is more inclined to chastise Israel than Palestine."
Brad Sherman: "Israel is held to a higher standard because Israel is getting 2.8 billion doallars from the U.S."
Rabbi Vogel: "Why hasn't the President visited Israel?"
Brad Sherman: "I don't know."
Rabbi Vogel: "Why should we believe that the President actually has the best (interests) of Israel in mind?"
Brad Sherman: "(You) "sound like somebody who wants to divide us up, Democrat - Republican."
The Truth:
31% of registered Democrats support Israel.
63% of registered Republicans support Israel.
How will Jews Vote?:
Rabbi Vogel: "Given the administration's attitude towards Israel. Do you think more Jews will vote Republican in the coming election?"
Brad Sherman: "Rabbi, I hear a lot of people clapping, but I don't think those people voted for Obama last time."
The Truth:
A quick hand poll taken showed that approximately 60% of the attendees voted for Obama in 2008.
100% indicated that they will vote Republican in the upcoming election
